STOCKTON, Calif. –
The Boise State men’s golf team concluded the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational in a tie for 15th-place, Saturday.

The Broncos shot a combined 873 (295-292-286, +9) to tie with UC Irvine.

“We didn’t play well this week and we got whooped. That’s pretty much all there is to it,” head coach Dan Potter said. “It looked like we were going to have a decent final round, but we ended up making mistakes down the stretch. We’re better than we showed this week, but this result is going to sting. We have to get a lot better.”

Brian Humphreys led the Broncos in a tie for 30th – one stroke back of the top 25. Humphreys shot 215 (76-68-71, -1) through three rounds.

Donny Hopoi shot 218 (70-77-71, +2) to finish tied for 42nd. Skyler Eubank (74-78-73 – 225, +9) and Jacob Byers (75-75-78 – 228, +12) rounded out the individual scores for Boise State.

Sophomore Mason Schulze missed Thursday’s first round with a back injury, and was ineligible to score as an individual. Schulze returned for Friday’s second round, with his scores only contributing to the Boise State’s combined team score. Schulze finished his two rounds of play under-par (72-71).

The Broncos will close out the fall season at the Ka’Anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, Nov. 3-5.
