France, Mitsunaga Tied for 20th

PARK CITY, Utah – A pair of Broncos fired sub-par rounds at the Utah Invitational Monday, and will enter the final round tied for 20th.

Senior Logan France and junior Kyle Mitsunaga led the Broncos on the opening day of the tournament, carding rounds of 73-70 and 70-73, respectively. The duo is in the midst of a five-way tie for 20th at The Jeremy Golf and Country Club, a course playing at a par 71 and 7,075 yards.

Houston’s Matt Scobie leads the event at 10-under 132 (66-66), one of 14 individuals under par for the tournament.

Boise State is in seventh place as a team, shooting 287-289 (576, +8).

Houston leads the team standings at 540 (273-267, -28).

Sophomore Tristan Rohrbaugh shot even-par (71) in the second round, overcoming a 4-over 75 in the opening round to move into a tie for 39th at 146 (+4).

Senior Shane Allor (73-75—148, +6) and freshman Alex Francois (71-78—149, +7), who carded a team-best nine birdies on the opening day, rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.

Sophomore Jacob Byers, competing as an individual, is tied for 25th at 144 (73-71, +2).

The final round of the Utah Invitational is scheduled to begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
