Mitsunaga Leads Trio in Top 25 at Utah Ogio Invitational

PARK CITY, Utah - Sophomore Kyle Mitsunaga is tied for 12th place after the first day of the Utah Ogio Invitational Monday, one of three members of the Boise State men's golf team in the top 25.

Mitsunaga carded back-to-back rounds of 72 (144, +2) at the par-71, 7,130-yard Jeremy Golf and Country Club, and is one stroke back of the top 10.

Junior Logan France and freshman Tristan Rohrbaugh are each tied for 22nd, after posting rounds of 70-76 and 76-70, respectively, en route to a two round total of 146 (+4). Rohrbaugh began the second round tied for 51st and climbed his way up the leader-board by recording five birdies and capturing the Broncos lowest score of the second round.

Boise State is in seventh place as a team following rounds of 370-366, en route to a two-round total of 736 (+26). Santa Clara is leading the event with a 7-over 717.

Junior Shane Allor (75-73-- +6), sophomore David Elliott (80-75-- +13) and senior Ty Travis (77-79-- +14) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.

Tuesday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (MT).
