Day One Results

VALENTINE, Neb. --
Even with the wind speed hanging in the teens for most of the day, the entire Boise State men's golf team wrapped up day one of The Jackrabbit under-par, Sunday.

The Broncos established good position in a team race featuring some of the nation's top teams. Boise State is fourth, two-strokes behind Tennessee heading into round two.

Freshman Jun Ho Won leads the Broncos at 4-under (68), and is tied for seventh on the leaderboard. Won opened the day with back-to-back eagles on his first two holes to set a strong tone for the rest of Sunday.

Jacob Byers is a stroke back of Won at 69 (-3) in a tie for 13th, while Donny Hopoi is just outside of the top 25 (70, -2).

Brian Humphreys and Skyler Eubank round out the scoring for the Broncos at 71 (-1).

"We looked great today. There are a lot of elements to consider when playing this course, and all five guys did a great job," head coach Dan Potter said. "They really showed their maturity. I know they are looking forward to making a few more putts the next few rounds, but today was a solid start."

Round two will begin with tee times scheduled for 8 a.m. (MT). Live results will be provided by golfstat.com.
