Broncos in Sixth at Home Tournament
MERIDIAN – Led by senior Taeksoo Kim, the Boise State men’s golf team is in sixth place at the Dash Thomas Memorial, the team’s only home tournament of the 2012-13 season.

Kim is tied for 23rd after posting rounds of 74 (+3) and 71 (E) at The Club at SpurWing, which is playing at a par 71 and 7,173 yards for the tournament.

Mason Casper of Utah Valley is leading the tournament after two rounds with a 7-under 135.

Redshirt junior Jordan Skyles is tied for 12th place, though he is playing as an individual and his score does not count toward the team total. Skyles posted a 2-under 69 in the opening round, and followed with a 2-over 73 to sit at even-par entering Tuesday’s final round.

Freshman Shane Allor, also competing as an individual, is tied for 15th with a two-round total of 143 (70-73, +1).

Sophomore Jon VanDyk (74-74—148, +6), junior Minwoo Park (73-75—148, +6), senior Clayton Kosanovich (73-76—149, +7) and freshman Logan France (79-70—149, +7) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos. Redshirt senior Charlie Marusiak, playing as an individual, carded a 36-hole total of 147 (74-73, +5).

The Broncos posted rounds of 294 (+10) and 290 (+6), and trail fifth-place Utah State by three strokes. Washington State leads the tournament with a 7-under 561.
