Men's Golf Completes Opening Day at Saint Mary's Invitational

SEASIDE, Calif. - Senior Ty Travis leads the Boise State men's golf team following the opening two rounds of the Saint Mary's Invitational in Seaside, Calif., Monday.

Travis carded rounds of 71-78, and is 5-over (149) at the Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Courses, each par-72, played at 7,104 and 7,024 yards, respectively. He recorded two eagles and seven birdies total, and will enter the final round three strokes back from the top 25.

Junior Shane Allor carded the best overall score for the Broncos in the second round, finishing even-par, giving him a two-round total of 155 (+11).

The Broncos are in 13th place as a team following scores of 301-303 en route to a 604 (+28).

Tournament host Saint Mary's leads the field at 570 (-6).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos were sophomore David Elliott (78, 76--154, +10), junior Logan France (78,77--155, +11), and freshman Jacob Byers (74, 82--156, +12).

The final round is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. (MT) Tuesday, and live scoring will be available at Birdiefire.com.
