STANFORD, Calif. - Tuesday's second round at the Stanford Regional went better for Boise State freshman Brian Humphreys, as he shot a 71 to finish the day 1-over on the par-70 Stanford Golf Course.

Humphreys, at 8-over for the tournament, sits tied for 59th in the individual field. Oklahoma's Brad Dalke is setting the pace through two rounds at 11-under.

It was an up-and-down round for Humphreys, as the Washougal, Wash. native carded six birdies against seven bogeys with five pars. The round started with a bogey on No. 10 but Humphreys built some steam with birdies on Nos. 12, 14 and 16 to get to 2-under for the day. He canceled out a bogey on No. 17 with a birdie on the par-5 first hole for the second-straight day but five-straight bogeys over Nos. 2-6 put Humphreys at 3-over.

Humphreys managed to end the round on a high note, sandwiching a par on No. 8 with birdies on Nos. 7 and 9 to close at 1-over.

The Bronco freshman is scheduled to tee off in Wednesday's final round at 10:50 a.m. MT.
