Travis in Top 10 at MW Championships

TUCSON, Ariz. - Boise State junior men's golfer Ty Travis moved into the top 10 following the second round of the 2014 Mountain West Championships, Saturday.

Travis followed an opening-round, even-par 71 with a 2-over 73, and is amongst a group of five individuals tied for 10th place at 144 (+2) at the 7,144-yard Catalina Course at the Omni Tucson National Resort.

Travis will enter Sunday's final round five strokes back of a three-way tie for first place at 3-under.

Sophomore Logan France is a stroke back of the top 25, concluding the second round tied for 29th after posting rounds of 74-75 (149, +7).

The Broncos are tied for ninth place as a team with a total of 600 (293-307, +32), while New Mexico leads the event at 560 (-8).

Freshman David Elliott (73-80--153, +11), redshirt senior Jordan Skyles (75-79--154, +12) and freshman Mark Brassey (86-81--167, +25) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.

The Broncos are scheduled to begin teeing off Sunday at 8:50 a.m. (MT).
