Elliott, Travis Lead Broncos at Redhawk Invitational

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. -- Sophomore David Elliott and senior Ty Travis lead the Boise State men's golf team following the opening two rounds of the Redhawk Invitational, Monday.

Elliott fired an eagle on hole 10 in the second round en route to a two-round total of 149 (76, 73 -- +9) at the par-70, 7,047-yard Chambers Bay Golf Club. Chambers Bay is also the site of the 2015 U.S. Open Championship.

Travis also carded rounds of 76-73, recording four birdies on the day.

The Broncos are in eighth place after posting team scores of 302-297 (599, +39). No. 10 Washington leads the tournament at 559 (-1).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos were junior Logan France (77, 74 -- 151, +11), freshman Tristan Rohrbaugh (78, 77 -- 155, +15) and freshman Jacob Byers (73, 84 -- 157, +17).

The final round of the Redhawk Invitational is scheduled to begin with a 9 a.m. (MT) shotgun start. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
