Humphreys at Tied for 11th

Brian Humphreys established good position on the first day of the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational presented by OGIO, finishing the first day a stroke back of the top 10, Monday at Chambers Bay Golf Course.

The sophomore fired off rounds of 73-75 to finish the first two rounds 6-over (148), and is currently in a tie for 11th.

Freshman Jun Ho Won is also within the top 25 in a tie for 22nd entering Tuesday’s finale. Won shot 151 (76-75, +9) on the day. Fellow freshman Skyler Eubank had the largest improvement on the day, posting a five-stroke improvement in the second round (79-74 – 153, +11).

Connor Bell (80-79 – 159, +17) and Connor Johnstone (81-81 – 162, +20) rounded out the scoring for Boise State.

Boise State had a five-stroke improvement during the second, and is currently in 12th (308-303 – 611, +43). The Broncos are only a stroke back of Idaho, Arkansas Little-Rock and Seattle for tied for ninth.

The tournament will close out with tomorrow’s third round, scheduled for 9 p.m. MT.
