Mitsunaga in Top 10 At Desert Shootout

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Boise State sophomore men's golfer Kyle Mitsunaga is tied for 10th place after the opening round of the Desert Shootout in Goodyear, Ariz., Thursday.

Mitsunaga notched a total of five birdies en route to a 3-under 69 at the par-72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Course.

Boise State carded a team score of 290 (+2) and will enter the second round in 11th place. Kansas and Wichita State are tied for the lead after each concluding the first round with a total of 278 (-10).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos were junior Logan France (73, +1), sophomore David Elliott (74, +2), junior Shane Allor (74, +2) and senior Ty Travis (75, +3).
