Broncos in Third Place at Folino Invitational Golf Tournament

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – Working on an under par score for the second round as a team, the Boise State men’s golf team has moved into third place at the Folino Invitational hosted by Cal State Fullerton.

After being in eighth place following a 20-over par first round score of 308, the Broncos did a complete turnaround in the late afternoon and are currently one-under par score in the second round with just a few holes remaining.

The second round was delayed late Monday because of darkness and will be completed Tuesday morning with the final 18-holes to follow on the Ike Course at the Industry Hills Golf Club.

Boise State is the only team shooting under par in the second round.

Senior Ty Travis is tied for eighth place and is the top Bronco with a three-over par score through 33 holes. Travis currently has a one-under par score through 15 holes of the second round after opening the tournament with a four-over par 76 in the first round.

Junior Shane Allor sits just outside the top 10 tied for 11th at four-under par through 31 holes. He is currently two-under par for the second round and has five holes remaining to complete his round.

Logan France and Tristan Rohrbaugh are also enjoying solid second rounds with both currently two-over for the round. The junior France is tied for 17th overall at six-over par and Rohrbaugh, a true freshman, is tied for 27th at eight-over par.

Sacramento State leads the 54-hole tournament at plus 11. There is a two-tie for the individual lead with Aaron Beverly of Sacramento State and Nate Ollis of British Columbia both three-under par.
