SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Everyone has arrived in Scottsdale and familiarized themselves with the lay of the resort, so Boise State begins its first full day of preparation for the VIZIO Fiesta Bowl against Arizona.

The VIZIO Fiesta Bowl will kick off at 2 p.m. MT on Dec. 31 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale and will be broadcast on ESPN.

After officially getting down to business Friday night with team meetings, the Broncos opened Saturday early with offensive coordinator Mike Sanford and four student-athletes from the offensive corps heading to the media hotel headquarters for interviews. Joining Sanford were quarterback Grant Hedrick, running back Jay Ajayi, wide receiver Shane Williams-Rhodes and center Marcus Henry.

After eating breakfast at the resort, the quintet was set up in a ball room at 8:30 a.m. with each member having his own table in front of a Fiesta Bowl backdrop. Each man would sit at his designated table and answer questions from the media, which floated around the room talking to each Bronco as they saw fit.

Numerous media members from both Boise and Arizona were present. Those present that are familiar to Boise State fans were the Idaho Statesman's Chadd Cripe and Brian Murphy, the Idaho Press-Tribune's B.J. Rains and KTVB's Jay Tust and Will Hall.

After 45 minutes, the Broncos' media obligations for the day were finished. Sunday morning will feature defensive coordinator Marcel Yates and four Bronco defenders speaking with the media.

Boise State headed out for practice in the afternoon, beginning shortly before 2 p.m. The media came out to observe and report from 2:30-2:45, being treated to a session of one-on-one action between the wide receivers and defensive backs. With teammates watching and shouting encouragement for their respective sides, the Bronco skill players went head-to-head in spirited competition.
