BOISE, Idaho Chris Petersen, head football coach at Boise State University, announced today the signing of safety Garcia Day to a National Letter of Intent.

Day, 6’2" 197-pounds, joins the Broncos after spending the last two seasons at Mt. San Antonio Junior College, in Walnut, Calif. As a sophomore he finished with 29 tackles, one interception and three pass breakups. Day finished his junior college career with 40 tackles and four interceptions and was named preseason All-America and all-conference. His junior college coach was Bob Jastrab.

Day graduated form Temecula Valley High School in San Diego, Calif., in 2005. He lettered three times in football, finishing with 100 tackles (65 solo) and five interceptions. He earned all-league and all-valley honors, as well as being selected to the all-star team and the Riverside All-Stars. He also lettered once in track and field and once in basketball. His high school coach was Brad Kane.
