POINSETTIA BOWL GAME INFORMATION AND FACT SHEET

For the seventh straight year, and ninth time in the past 10 seasons, Boise State Football is "Bowling" in the post-season.

The 2008 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl is a matchup of top 15 teams, as the ninth ranked Broncos meet the eleventh ranked TCU Horned Frogs of the Mountain West Conference.  Boise State enters the game after putting together a perfect regular season record at 12-0.  TCU, meanwhile, posted a 10-2 record, losing only to top-ranked Oklahoma and sixth ranked Utah, both BCS bound teams.

Boise State is currently 5-3 all-time in bowl games, with victories in the 1999, 2000 and 2002 Humanitarian Bowls, the 2003 Fort Worth Bowl and the 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.  This will be the Broncos first appearance in the Poinsettia Bowl, and marks the sixth different bowl game in the past six years for the program (2003 - Fort Worth Bowl, 2004 - Liberty Bowl, 2005 - MPC Computers Bowl, 2006 - Fiesta Bowl, 2007 - Hawaii Bowl, 2008 - Poinsettia Bowl).

The Poinsettia Bowl is scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, with a 5:00 pm Pacific Time kick-off.  The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.  Click on the PDF's below for Boise State's Game Fact Sheet, Updated Season Stats and the official Poinsettia Bowl Bronco Depth Chart.
