BOISE, Idaho - Less than 24 hours after being invited to the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego, the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office had sold 2,007 tickets to the bowl game.

“Ticket orders have been coming in at a steady rate, and that’s exciting news,” said Boise State Assistant Athletic Director/Ticket Manager Anita Guerricabeitia.  “We’ve had a high number of orders on-line, which is a great tool for our fan base to use in accessing tickets without having to wait in line or come down during their work day.”

Tickets for the game remain on sale via the idahotickets.com website or you can visit the Athletic Ticket Office, which is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Season ticket holders were also mailed their log-in and password to access their account through idahotickets.com in order to expedite the purchase of bowl tickets.

Bronco fans traveling to San Diego are also encouraged to purchase tickets to the Boise State-University of San Diego men’s basketball game, which will be held on December 22nd, the night before the Poinsettia Bowl .  Basketball tickets can be purchased by Bronco fans for $12 a ticket by calling the USD Ticket Office at 619-260-7550 and using the code word BRONCOS.

The 2008 Poinsettia Bowl is scheduled for December 23rd at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.  The ninth-ranked Broncos will meet 11th-ranked TCU in one of only a handful of match-ups between top 15 teams.
