The Broncos went 10-3 in 2017, winning their third Mountain West Championship since joining the league in 2011. The Broncos defeated Fresno State, 17-14, in the MW Championship, Saturday (Dec. 2).

Following their victory, the Broncos moved back into the top 25, checking in at No. 25 in the Associated Press, Amway Coaches and College Football Playoff Polls. Boise State has been nationally ranked in each of the last 16 seasons, tied with USC for the eighth-longest streak in the country.

The Broncos are 11-6 against schools from the Pac-12 since 2004, including a mark of 4-1 since Bryan Harsin took over as head coach in 2014. The only loss came earlier this season to Washington State (Sept. 9), a 47-44 setback on the road in triple overtime.

Boise State and Oregon have met twice previously, with the Broncos winning each game. Boise State won at Oregon in 2008 (Sept. 20; 37-32), and then defeated the Ducks in Boise the following season (Sept. 3, 2009; 19-8).

Boise State played in three-straight Las Vegas Bowl games from 2010-12, defeating Utah (Dec. 22, 2010; 26-3), Arizona State (Dec. 22, 2011; 56-24) and Washington (Dec. 22, 2012; 28-26). The Broncos were ranked in each of the previous three Las Vegas Bowl match-ups.
