BOISE, Idaho - While improving its overall record to 10-1 with a win over Wyoming last Saturday (Nov. 26), the Boise State football team remained in the No. 7 spot in this week's Bowl Championship Series Standings.
The Broncos also stayed at No. 8 in the USA Today Coaches and Harris Interactive polls which make up two-thirds of the overall BCS point total. Boise State was ninth in the BCS computer average which makes up the final third.
Boise State dropped from seventh to ninth in the Associated Press media poll which does not count in the BCS scoring.
For the second straight week, LSU was a unanimous No. 1 selection in all the polls and BCS Standings. The Tigers are followed by No. 2 Alabama, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Virginia Tech in the top five.
Houston, which last week was ranked behind the Broncos, moved to the No. 6 position marking the first time this season Boise State was not the highest ranked team from a non-qualifying BCS conference.
Boise State plays its final regular season game of the season this Saturday (Dec. 3) against New Mexico at Bronco Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. (MT)
