BOISE STATE TO HOST BCS SELECTION PARTY THIS SUNDAY (Dec. 3) AT TACO BELL ARENA

            BOISE, Idaho In conjunction with the announcement of the Bowl Championship Series bowl game pairings, the Boise State University athletic department invites the public to a free BCS selection party celebration this Sunday (Dec. 3) at 6:00 p.m. in Taco Bell Arena.

            The Bronco football team is in position to be selected to participate in one of the five BCS games after finishing the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record, its fifth Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship and a current eighth place ranking in this week BCS standings. 

            A team from a non-BCS conference which wins its league title and is ranked among the top 12 teams in the final BCS ranking, receives an automatic selection to one of the BCS bowls which include the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the Rose Bowl Game, the FedEx Orange Bowl, the Allstate Sugar Bowl and the Tostitos BCS National Championship game.

            Doors to Taco Bell Arena will open in advance of the selection show at 5:00 p.m.  The selection show, which will be broadcast live by Fox Sports, will be shown on the Bronco Vision screens beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Bronco players and coaches will be in attendance, as they await the official word on where the Boise State team will be playing, and its opponent.

            The BSU Bookstore will have a temporary Bronco Shop set up inside the arena selling WAC Championship and BCS merchandise.  Global Travel, the Official Travel Partner of the Broncos, will also be on hand for BCS Bowl travel information and to take reservations.

            The celebration party will also include season highlights playing on Bronco Vision and a short program following the selection show, including comments from head coach Chris Petersen and the senior captains.
