BOISE, Idaho – Doug Martin’s quartet of touchdowns have earned him this week’s Bronco Athlete of the Week honors. Martin ran for a career-high four scores in the Boise State football team’s 52-21 victory over Utah State on Friday.

In addition to his four scores, Martin also led the Broncos with 121 yards rushing on only 13 carries. The sophomore from Stockton, Calif. averaged 9.3 yards per carry and recorded a tackle. Martin and Jeremy Avery both rushed for over 100 yards for the second time this season as the Broncos raked in 323 rushing yards as a team.

The No. 6 Broncos will face Nevada at 8 p.m. on ESPN on Friday in a game that will decide the WAC Championship.

The Boise State volleyball team enters the WAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed today against No. 3 Idaho. The men’s basketball team visits Eastern Washington today before playing their home-opener on Saturday against North Texas. The women’s basketball team will also stay on the road this week as it travels to Utah Valley on Tuesday and to Las Vegas for a tournament this weekend.
