BOISE, Idaho - Everything remained the same in regards to the rankings for Boise State University (10-0, 6-0 WAC) as the Broncos kept their No. 3 position in the USA Today Coaches, Associated Press media and Harris Interactive polls, and its No. 4 position in the Bowl Championship Series standings following its 51-0 victory over Fresno State last Friday (Nov. 19).
Boise State did improve its first place votes and points in all four rankings. The Broncos gained one first place vote (10) and 17 points (1377) in the media poll, held on to its five first place votes and picked up 12 points (1341) in the coaches' poll, and received three more first place votes (14) and 28 more points (2619) in the Harris poll.
While the Broncos remained behind TCU in the BCS standings, Boise State did once again cut into the Horn Frogs margin. Boise State's BCS average is now .8860 while TCU is at .8895. Last week Boise State's average was .8634 while TCU was at .8966.
The University of Oregon (10-1) remained at the No. 1 position in all three polls and the BCS standings with Auburn University (11-0) holding the No. 2 spot.
Boise State's opponent this week, the University of Nevada (10-1, 5-1 WAC) is ranked 19th in all three human polls and the BCS standings. Kickoff for the game is 7:15 p.m. (PT) on Friday (Nov. 26) in Reno. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
