BOISE, Idaho - The Western Athletic Conference announced Monday (Nov. 15) morning that Boise State wide receiver/punt returner Chris Potter has been named Verizon Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Broncos 52-14 win at Idaho last Friday (Nov. 12).
Potter, a sophomore from Westlake Village, Calif. (Oaks Christian HS), made an immediate impact for Boise State with a 76-yard punt return for touchdown in the opening minute of the game against the Vandals. He finished the night with four punt returns for 106 yards and an average of 26.5 yards per return.
This marks the second WAC Player of the Week honor for Potter this season, as he also received the award for special teams on Oct. 18. This is the sixth Player of the Week selection for Boise State this season.
