BOISE, Idaho - Despite suffering its first loss of the season in a 36-35 contest against TCU this past Saturday (Nov. 12), Boise State remains among the top-10 teams in the Bowl Subdivision Championships Standings with a No. 10 ranking.
The Broncos, who were fifth in last week's BCS Standings, are ranked No. 11 in this week's USA Today Coaches and Harris Interactive polls. Boise State has the 12th highest BCS computer average, which gives the Broncos a BCS average score of .5959. The two polls and computer average make up the BCS score.
Boise State also fell from fifth to 10th in the Associated Press media poll.
LSU is the clear leader in all three human polls, and is once again the No. 1 team in the BCS Standings. Oklahoma State is No. 2 followed by Alabama, Oregon and Oklahoma in the top five. The rest of the top-10 has Arkansas at No. 6 followed by Clemson, Virginia Tech, Stanford and Boise State.
Two teams Boise State has played this season are ranked in the top-25. Georgia, who Boise State defeated in the season opener, is No. 14; and TCU moves from being unranked in last week's standings to No. 19 this week following its win over the Broncos.
The Broncos play their final regular season road game of the season this Saturday (Nov. 19) at San Diego State. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. (PT).
