BOISE, Idaho Boise State University continues to climb up the major college football polls with the Broncos now ranked 15th in the USA Today Coaches and Harris Interactive polls, 17th in the Associated Press media poll and 18th in the Bowl Championship Series standings.
Following its 52-0 win at Utah State University on Saturday (Nov. 10), Boise State moved up four places in the coach’s and Harris polls, and two in the media poll and BCS standings. The USA Today and Harris polls are both part of the BCS rankings.
LSU moved to the top of both polls after previous No. 1 Ohio State University lost yesterday (Nov. 10) at home to the University of Illinois. The rest of the top five is the same in both polls with the University of Oregon second, the University of Oklahoma third, the University of Kansas fourth and the University of West Virginia fifth. LSU is also No. 1 in the BCS standings followed by Oregon, Kansas, Oklahoma and the University of Missouri
Western Athletic Conference member the University of Hawai’i is No. 12 in the coaches poll, 13th in the media poll and 16th in the BCS
The Broncos have won eight consecutive games since losing at the University of Washington, 24-10, on Sept. 8 of this season. Boise State is also undefeated in WAC play this year with a 6-0 mark.
Boise State plays its final regular season home game this Saturday (Nov. 17) beginning at 12:07 p.m. in Bronco Stadium against the University of Idaho. The Broncos end the regular season on Nov. 23 (Friday) at the Hawai’i.
