Broncos In The NFL: Week 8

BOISE, Idaho - Former Boise State Broncos George Iloka and Matt Paradis stayed neck-and-neck record-wise as each of their teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos, respectively, remained unbeaten at 7-0 with victories in Week 8.

While Iloka and Paradis continued their stellar play, another former Bronco, Miami running back Jay Ajayi, is eligible now in Week 9 to make his long-awaited NFL debut. Ajayi spent the first eight weeks of the season on the short-term injured reserve after suffering a rib injury in the preseason.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Bronco alumni fared in Week 8:

RB Jay Ajayi – Miami Dolphins
Ajayi returned to practice with the Dolphins last Wednesday after spending the first six weeks of the season on the short-term injured reserve list. Ajayi will be eligible to return to game action this week.

TE/FB Richie Brockel – Carolina Panthers
Brockel was placed on injured reserve by the Panthers on Oct. 23 and will miss the rest of the season.

OT Ryan Clady – Denver Broncos
Clady is out for the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during OTAs in May.

DT Tyrone Crawford – Dallas Cowboys
Crawford started at defensive tackle and made two tackles (one solo) in Dallas’ 13-12 loss to Seattle.

S George Iloka – Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka started at safety and made four tackles with a pass broken up as Cincinnati improved to 7-0 with a 16-10 win at Pittsburgh. After the game, Iloka sent a congratulatory tweet to Boise State safety Darian Thompson on becoming the Mountain West’s all-time interceptions leader.

S Jeron Johnson - Washington
Johnson and Washington were on a bye in Week 8, and return to action this Sunday against New England.

DE DeMarcus Lawrence – Dallas Cowboys
Lawrence had two tackles-for-loss among his seven tackles (five solo) in Dallas’ 13-12 loss to Seattle.

OT Charles Leno – Chicago Bears
Leno started at left tackle in Chicago’s 23-20 loss to Minnesota.

RB Doug Martin – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Martin started and rushed for 71 yards on 23 carries while catching a pass for seven yards in Tampa Bay’s 23-20 overtime win over Atlanta.

LB Shea McClellin – Chicago Bears
McClellin was inactive due to injury in Chicago’s 23-20 loss to Minnesota on Sunday.

QB Kellen Moore – Dallas Cowboys
Moore was inactive as the Cowboys’ third quarterback in Sunday’s 27-20 loss to the New York Giants.

C Matt Paradis – Denver Broncos
Paradis started at center as the Broncos defeated Green Bay, 29-10, to remain unbeaten at 7-0.

CB Orlando Scandrick – Dallas Cowboys
Scandrick was placed on injured reserve last month and will miss the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during a preseason practice.

S Jamar Taylor – Miami Dolphins
Taylor had seven tackles (four solo) in Miami’s 36-7 loss to New England Thursday night.

CB Kyle Wilson – New Orleans Saints
Wilson saw action but did not record a stat in New Orleans’ wild 52-49 victory over the New York Giants.

DT Billy Winn – Indianapolis Colts
Winn recovered a fumble in Indianapolis’ 29-26 loss to Carolina Monday night.
