BOISE, Idaho - Improving its overall record to 8-0 with a 45-7 win over San Jose State, Boise State University remained at the No. 7 spot in this week's Bowl Championship Series standings.
In the three rankings that make up the BCS average, the Broncos were fourth in the Harris Interactive poll, fifth in the USA Today Coaches' poll and eighth in the computer rankings average. Boise State improved one position in the Harris poll, while remaining the same in the other two rankings.
Boise State did increase its BCS average from .7752 last week, to .7863 this week.
Florida remains in the No. 1 position for the third straight week, while Alabama and Texas switched positions with the Crimson Tide falling to No. 3 and the Longhorns moving to No. 2. Iowa remains at No. 4.
Cincinnati made the biggest move up the polls from eighth to fifth. TCU, the only other non-BCS conference team in the top12, remains one spot ahead of the Broncos at No. 6. Oregon moves to eighth with LSU and Georgia Tech rounding out the 10.
The Broncos return to the road for its next game this Friday (Nov. 6) at Louisiana Tech University.
