BOISE, Idaho - Despite remaining undefeated (7-0) with a 49-20 win over Louisiana Tech this past Tuesday (Oct. 26), Boise State University fell to No. 4 in this week's Bowl Championship Series standings, and to No. 3 in the USA Today / Coaches and Harris Interactive polls.
The Broncos did remain at the No. 2 position in the Associated Press poll, but the media poll does not count in the BCS average.
TCU passed Boise State into No. 3 in the BCS standings, while Auburn moved past the Broncos in the coaches and Harris polls.
Oregon held on to its No. 1 ranking in the three human polls, and for the first time in school history is first in the BCS standings passing last week's No. 1 team Auburn. Oregon is the first team this season to be listed No. 1 in all the major polls and the BCS standings.
Boise State posted a BCS average of .8824 down from last week's average of .8846.
In the human polls, Boise State received three first place votes and 1,361 points in the coaches' poll; 12 first place votes and 2,365 points in the Harris poll; and seven first place votes and 1,403 points in the AP poll.
The Broncos are back in action this Saturday (Nov. 6) when they host the University of Hawai'i in a key Western Athletic Conference game. Kickoff, which was originally scheduled for Noon, has been moved to 1:30 p.m. (MT) so the game can be broadcast nationally on ESPNU and on ESPN 3D.
