BOISE, Idaho - Improving to 7-1 overall after a 45-14 win at Wyoming this past Saturday (Oct. 27), Boise State move up two positions in this week's Bowl Championship Series standings to No. 19.

The Broncos are the highest ranked non-BCS team in this week's with Louisiana Tech the only other non-BCS team in the standings at No. 25.

Alabama continues to lead the BCS standings followed by Kansas State, Notre Dame, Oregon and LSU to round out the top five.

The BCS standings are made up of two human polls and the BCS computer average.  Boise State is No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches poll, No. 17 in the Harris Interactive poll and has a computer average of No. 23.

Boise State's BCS average score this week was .3123, up from .2070 in last week's poll.

The Broncos need to continue to climb in the weekly BCS standings.  If Boise State advances to the top-16 in the final BCS poll, and a champion from a BCS conference is ranked behind the Broncos, Boise State would receive an automatic bid to a BCS bowl.

Boise State returns to Bronco Stadium this Saturday Nov. 3 when it place hosts to San Diego State.  Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. (MT).  The Broncos are the only undefeated team in the Mountain West at 4-0.
