Broncos In The NFL: Week 7

BOISE, Idaho - The “Dougernaut” Doug Martin rushed for 136 yards on 19 carries, moving up to third in the NFL in rushing yards to highlight the Bronco alumni in Week 7.

New Orleans cornerback Kyle Wilson also made a big play Sunday, picking off an Andrew Luck pass in the red zone before halftime to snuff out a potential scoring opportunity.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Bronco alumni fared in Week 7:

RB Jay Ajayi – Miami Dolphins
Ajayi returned to practice with the Dolphins last Wednesday after spending the first six weeks of the season on the short-term injured reserve list. Ajayi will be eligible to return to game action after Week 9.

TE/FB Richie Brockel – Carolina Panthers
Brockel was placed on injured reserve by the Panthers on Oct. 23 and will miss the rest of the season.

OT Ryan Clady – Denver Broncos
Clady is out for the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during OTAs in May.

DT Tyrone Crawford – Dallas Cowboys
Crawford started at defensive tackle and made three tackles (two solo) for Dallas in its 27-20 loss to the New York Giants.

S George Iloka – Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka and the 6-0 Bengals were on a bye in Week 7, and return to action this Sunday at Pittsburgh.

S Jeron Johnson - Washington
Johnson shared a tackle Sunday as Washington came back from a 24-0 hole to defeat Tampa Bay, 31-30.

DE DeMarcus Lawrence – Dallas Cowboys
Lawrence started at defensive end and shared a tackle for Dallas in its 27-20 loss to the New York Giants.

OT Charles Leno – Chicago Bears
Leno and the Bears were on a bye in Week 7, and with the weekend off, the former All-Mountain West lineman came back to Boise to serve as an honorary captain for Saturday’s game against Wyoming. The Bears return to action this Sunday against Minnesota.

RB Doug Martin – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Martin started and rushed for 136 yards on 19 attempts (7.2 yards per carry) and caught three passes for 35 yards in Tampa Bay’s 31-30 loss to Washington. Martin now sits third in the NFL with 541 rushing yards.

LB Shea McClellin – Chicago Bears
McClellin and the Bears were on a bye in Week 7, and return to action this Sunday against Minnesota.

QB Kellen Moore – Dallas Cowboys
Moore was inactive as the Cowboys’ third quarterback in Sunday’s 27-20 loss to the New York Giants.

C Matt Paradis – Denver Broncos
Leno and the Broncos, at 6-0, were on a bye in Week 7, and with the weekend off, the former All-Mountain West lineman came back to Boise to serve as an honorary captain for Saturday’s game against Wyoming. The Broncos return to action Sunday night against Green Bay.

CB Orlando Scandrick – Dallas Cowboys
Scandrick was placed on injured reserve last month and will miss the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during a preseason practice.

S Jamar Taylor – Miami Dolphins
Taylor broke up a pass and was second on the Dolphins with seven tackles (six solo) in Sunday’s 44-26 win over Houston.

CB Kyle Wilson – New Orleans Saints
Wilson intercepted an Andrew Luck pass in the red zone just before halftime and had two solo tackles in New Orleans’ 27-21 win over the Colts.

DT Billy Winn – Indianapolis Colts
Winn made five tackles (two solo) in Indianapolis’ 27-21 loss to New Orleans Sunday.
