Boise State continues to have little trouble putting points on the board as the Broncos extended their lead to 31-0 with less than two minutes remaining in the first half.

It was once again the Kellen Moore to Titus Young combination that worked for Boise State as they connected on a 10-yard pass.

Following the touchdown, Boise State's offense was right back on the field when on Hawaii's very next offensive play, Bronco linebacker Hunter White intercepted a pass and returned it 14 yards to the Hawai'i 16 yard line.  In three plays, Boise State was unable to gain a first down and Kyle Brotzman came in to connect on a 28-yard field goal and a 34-0 Bronco lead with just 17 seconds remaining in the first half.

-----

Kellen Moore completed his third touchdown pass of the game midway through the second quarter on a 24-yard pass to Titus Young.

The scoring drive started at Boise State's 20-yard line following an interception in the end zone by Jeron Johnson.  It was the second turrnover of the game for Johnson.  In the first quarter, Johnson recovered a Hawai'i fumble which set up a 25-yard field goal by Kyle Brotzman.  The interception was the third of the year for Johnson, which leads the team.

During the drive, the Broncos again went to its bag of tricks when wide receiver Austin Pettis completed his first pass of the season on a 28-yard play to tight end Kyle Efaw.  After getting the snap in the shut gun formation, Moore tossed the ball out right to Pettis, who was standing a yard behind Moore.  Pettis then fired a strike over the middle to Efaw.  Two plays later Moore connected on his scoring pass to Young.

Boise State has scored points following all three turnovers so far in the game.

A second Hawai'i turnover led to more Broncos points as Boise State extends its lead to 17-0 at the 13:32 mark of the second quarter.  Winston Venable forced a Hawai'i turnover after a short gain on a pass play, and cornerback Brandyn Thompson recovered for the Broncos.  On the very next play Kellen Moore fired a bullet over the middle to Austin Pettis.  It was the eighth touchdown reception of the season for Pettis, who leads the team in touchdowns this season.  It was Moore's second touchdown pass of the night and his 18th of the season.

Moore now has 43 career touchdown passes in his career.

Boise State went into its bag of tricks late in the first quarter when the Broncos faked its punt attempt and Kyle Brotzman connected with Jason Robinson on a 28-yard pass for a Boise State first down.  Facing fourth and four, Brotzman lined up in punt formation and took one step to his right before hitting a wide open Jason Robinson over the middle for a Bronco first down at the Hawai'i 28-yard line.  It was Boise State's first fake punt of the season.  One play later, the first quarter ended with Boise State leading 10-0.

-----

A 35-yard pass from Kellen Moore to Tyler Shoemaker, on fourth and two, put the Broncos up 10-0 midway through the first quarter.  Shoemaker lined up at left tight end and broke out into the flat.  Under heavy pressure, Moore lofted the ball to Shoemaker who used an outstanding down field block from Austin Pettis  to ramble into the end zone for his second touchdown reception of the season.  The touchdown pass was Moore's 17th on the year.

Following the Jeron Johnson fumble recovery for Boise State, Kyle Brotzman put the first points of the game on the board with a 25-yard field goal at the 11:54 mark of the first quarter.  It was eighth field goal of the year for Brotzman, and the fifth consecutive successful attempt for the junior from Meridian.

-----

On Boise State's second play of the game the Moore brothers hooked up for the first time in their Boise State career.  On 2nd and 10, Kellen Moore hit his younger brother Kirby Moore on a seven-yard pass play across the middle.  Kellen is a sophomore, while Kirby is a true freshman on the team.

Boise State will be trying to break a two-game losing streak on the island.  The Broncos made two trips to Honolulu in 2007 losing to the Warriors late in the season, 39-27, before returning to Honolulu just prior to Christmas to face East Carolina in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl.  Boise State lost that game 41-38.  The Broncos all-time record against Hawai'i is 7-3, with Boise State handing the Warriors a 27-7 defeat last year at Bronco Stadium.

The Broncos opened its' series against Hawai'i with a pair of losses in 1996 (20-14) and 1999 (34-19).  Boise State then won its next six meetings from 2001-2006.
