Broncos Move to No. 4 in BCS Standings

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State's 37-24 win over Air Force, coupled with an Oklahoma loss to Texas Tech, moved to Broncos up one spot to No. 4 in this week's Bowl Championship Series Standings.

The Broncos also moved up two positions in the USA Today Coaches poll from No. 7 to No. 5 as Wisconsin joined the Sooners in falling from the unbeaten ranks.  Wisconsin was ranked ahead of the Broncos in last week's coaches' poll at No. 4 while Oklahoma was ranked No. 1 by the coaches.

Boise State remained No. 5 in the Harris Interactive and Associated Press polls this week.

The coaches and Harris polls are used in the BCS standings; along with the average of six computer polls which Boise State has the fifth best average.  The AP poll is not used in the BCS average.

LSU is No. 1 in the BCS standings and all three major polls.  The Tigers lead No. 2 Alabama by just less than one-tenth in the BCS standings.  Oklahoma State is No. 3 in the BCS with Clemson rounding out the top five less than one-tenth of a percentage point behind the Broncos.

The Broncos have a bye this coming weekend and will be back in action on Nov. 5 when they travel to Las Vegas to face UNLV on Nov. 12 (Saturday).
