COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second-straight week, Boise State football student-athletes garnered both the offensive and defensive Mountain West Players of the Week honors, the league office announce Monday.

Following their performances in Boise State’s 37-26 victory over Air Force, redshirt senior quarterback Kellen Moore (Prosser, Wash.) earned the league’s weekly offensive honor, while senior linebacker Byron Hout (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) garnered the accolade on the defensive side.

For Moore the honor is his fourth of the 2011 season, a career high. He also earned Western Athletic Conference honors twice in 2008 and three times in 2010.

Moore completed 23-of-29 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns against the Falcons, while compiling an efficiency rating of 187.95. His touchdown passes covered 24, 19 and 2 yards, and moved him into fourth on the NCAA’s career passing touchdowns list (123). Moore also eclipsed 1,000 career completions, moved into 10th on the NCAA’s career passing yardage list (12,877) and tied Colt McCoy (Texas, 2006-09) for the most wins by a quarterback in NCAA history (45).

Hout earned his first player of the week award of the season after notching a career-high 18 tackles, the most by a Bronco since Cam Hall recorded 19 against Louisville, Dec. 31, 2004. Included in the tackle total were eight solo stops and 0.5 for-loss.

Hout had previously earned WAC Defensive Player of the Week honors Nov. 17, 2008, following his performance against Idaho.

Following a bye this week, Boise State will travel to face UNLV, Nov. 5.
