Wilson Named to Sporting News? Midseason All-American Team

BOISE, Idaho – Sporting News Magazine announced its’ midseason All-American team on Wednesday (Oct. 21), which features Boise State senior cornerback Kyle Wilson on the first team defensive unit.

Wilson (5-10, 186), a Piscataway, N.J. native, is a defensive captain for the Broncos this season that has recorded 16 tackles and one pass breakup through six games. He earned first team All-Western Athletic Conference honors in 2008 after recording 35 tackles and 15 pass breakups.

Wilson is one of just four players selected to the All-American team that plays for a non-BCS conference school. The honor comes on the heels of Wilson being named one of 20 quarterfinalists for the Lott Trophy earlier this week. During the preseason Wilson was also named to watch lists for the Bronko Nagurski Award, Chuck Bednarik Award and Jim Thorpe Award.
