Broncos Debut at No. 22 in BCS Standings
BOISE – The Boise State football team debuted at No. 22 in the initial Bowl Championship Series Standings of 2012, Sunday.

The Broncos have been ranked in the BCS Standings for 38-consecutive weeks, the nation’s longest active streak. The streak is also the eighth-longest in the history of the poll.

The Harris Interactive Poll, the USA TODAY Coaches’ Poll and computer rankings each comprise one-third of the BCS Standings. The Broncos rank No. 22 in the Coaches’ Poll and No. 23 in the Harris Interactive Poll, and have an average computer ranking of 20.

The result equates to a BCS average of .1978 for the Broncos, .0505 percentage points behind No. 21 Cincinnati and .0601 percentage points ahead of No. 23 TCU.

Boise State boasts 59 all-time appearances in the BCS Standings, a mark that ranks 15th-nationally all-time.

The Broncos have finished the season ranked in the top 10 of the final BCS standings six times (2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011).
