BOISE, Idaho - "Black Out" will take on a new meaning at Bronco Stadium next Saturday (Oct. 20) when the Boise State football players will wear all-black uniforms against UNLV. Boise State is encouraging all Bronco fans to do the same in the stands.
Nike and Boise State have created a special uniform combination for the football team which includes black jerseys, pants, helmets, socks and shoes. The single Bronco head combat logo will be featured on one side of the helmet with the player's jersey number on the other. The uniform will have blue and orange highlights with the numbers a combination of blue and white. A chrome look highlights the shoes.
Over the past several seasons Nike has created multiple uniform combinations using the school's traditional blue and orange colors, along with a gray combat style uniform. This will mark the first time Boise State has ever been suited in an all-black combination.
Bronco fans can join the football team in wearing black at next week's game as the color scheme for all sections of Bronco Stadium will be black. All Bronco Shop locations will have an assortment of black apparel on sale immediately following today's game against Fresno State.
