BOISE, Idaho - Boise State University moved up one spot in the Associated Press media poll to fifth, while remaining the same at No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches' poll, in this week's Football Bowl Subdivision rankings.

The Broncos, who did not play this past weekend in preparation for this Wednesday's (Oct. 14) game at Tulsa, moved up in the AP poll following LSU's loss to No. 1 Florida, 13-3.  LSU entered its game with the Gators ranked No. 4.

In the coaches' poll, Boise State stayed at No. 6 with USC moving pass the Broncos into the No. 5 spot.  USC also did not play this past weekend.

Boise State moved up in the AP poll despite receiving four less points (1,199) this week.  The Broncos remained the same in the coaches' poll while receiving 37 more points this week (1,170).

Florida remains No. 1 in both polls, but the second and third spots are different in the two rankings this week.  Texas remains No. 2 in the coaches' poll, while Alabama moved past the Longhorns into the second spot in the AP poll.

The Gators received 50 of the 60 first place votes in the media poll, and 53 of the 60 first place votes in the coaches' poll.  Alabama grabbed the remaining 10 first place votes in the AP poll, while Alabama had five and Texas one in the coaches' poll.

TCU is the next closest non-BCS conference team to the Broncos in both polls.  The Horn Frogs are eighth in the coaches' poll and 12th in the AP poll.

Kickoff for Boise State's game at Tulsa on Wednesday is 7:04 p.m. (CT) with the game being broadcast by ESPN.
