BOISE, Idaho – Boise State redshirt senior quarterback Kellen Moore was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against Fresno State, the conference announced Monday.

Moore now has three Player of the Week honors through five games in 2011, tying his career high for a season. He set the initial mark last year while in the Western Athletic Conference, and now has a total of eight conference player of the week awards.

Against the Bulldogs, Moore completed 23-of-31 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns in just two-plus quarters of play, as the Broncos posted a 57-7 victory.

The three touchdowns moved Moore into sixth on the NCAA’s all-time career touchdown passes list (116), passing Tim Rattay (Louisiana Tech, 1997-99; 115) and Danny Wuerffel (Florida, 1993-96; 114).

The win was the 43rd of Moore’s career, which ranks second all-time for an NCAA quarterback.

The Broncos will play their first conference game as a member of the Mountain West Saturday, travelling to Fort Collins, Colo., to square off against Colorado State. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Hughes Stadium.
