Boise State In The NFL: Week 5

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State alumni again took the field for Week Five of the NFL season, with one former Bronco becoming part of NFL history.

Cleveland defensive end Billy Winn was part of a Browns defense that held the Tennessee Titans scoreless in the second half Sunday, allowing the Browns to come back from a 28-3 second-quarter deficit to win 29-28. The 25-point comeback marked the biggest comeback by a road team in NFL history.

Former Boise State defensive back and current Dallas Cowboy Orlando Scandrick also shined, recording his first interception of the season in the Cowboys' 20-17 overtime win over Houston.

Richie Brockel (2006-09) - TE/FB - Carolina Panthers
Brockel missed Sunday's 31-24 win over Chicago due to a right-ankle injury suffered last week against Baltimore, and on Tuesday was placed on injured reserve, ending his 2014 season.

Ryan Clady (2005-07) - LT - Denver Broncos
Clady started at left tackle in Denver's 41-20 rout of Arizona. He and the Bronco offensive line allowed just one sack of quarterback Peyton Manning, who threw for 479 yards and four touchdowns.

Daryn Colledge (2002-05) - LG - Miami Dolphins
Colledge and the Dolphins had a bye this past weekend and return to action this Sunday at home against Green Bay.

Tyrone Crawford (2010-11) - DE - Dallas Cowboys
Crawford started at left defensive end for the Cowboys in Sunday's 20-17 overtime win over Houston, making a pair of solo tackles including one for loss.

George Iloka (2008-11) - S - Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka started at strong safety in Cincinnati's 43-17 loss at New England Sunday night, sharing the team-high in tackles with nine (five solo).

Jeron Johnson (2007-09) - SS - Seattle Seahawks
Johnson saw action in the Seahawks' 27-17 victory Monday night over the Washington football team. The Seattle safety assisted on a tackle on special teams.

Demarcus Lawrence (2012-13) - DE - Dallas Cowboys
Lawrence was placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list by Dallas on Sept. 2. This means that Lawrence, who suffered a broken right foot during camp in late July, cannot practice with the Cowboys until after the team's sixth game and cannot play until the team's ninth contest, at the earliest.

Charles Leno, Jr. (2010-13) - DE - Chicago Bears
Leno, Jr. was one of seven Bears made inactive prior to Sunday's 31-24 loss at Carolina.

Doug Martin (2008-11) - RB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Martin got the start for Tampa Bay and ran for 45 yards while catching three passes for 29 yards in the Buccaneers' 37-31 overtime loss at New Orleans.

Shea McClellin (2008-11) - LB - Chicago Bears
McClellin missed his third straight game due to a broken hand suffered during practice three weeks ago.

Kellen Moore (2008-11) - QB - Detroit Lions
Moore, Detroit's third-string quarterback, was inactive for Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Bills.

Austin Pettis (2007-10) - WR - St. Louis Rams
Pettis caught three passes for 29 yards in St. Louis' 34-28 loss at Philadelphia.

Orlando Scandrick (2005-07) - CB - Dallas Cowboys
Scandrick started at cornerback for Dallas in its 20-17 overtime win over Houston. Scandrick recorded his first interception of the season when he picked off a Ryan Fitzgerald pass early in the first quarter, returning it for two yards.

Jamar Taylor (2006-09) - CB - Miami Dolphins
Colledge and the Dolphins had a bye this past weekend and return to action this Sunday at home against Green Bay.

Kyle Wilson (2006-09) - CB - New York Jets
Wilson saw action in Sunday's 31-0 loss at San Diego, making a pair of solo tackles.

Billy Winn (2008-11) - DE - Cleveland Browns
Winn saw action and made four tackles (three solo) for Cleveland Sunday as the Browns set an NFL record by overcoming the largest road deficit (25 points) to win, defeating Tennessee 29-28.
