The Boise State University football team (3-1, 0-0 WAC), five-time defending champion of the Western Athletic Conference, begins its 2007 league schedule this Sunday (Oct. 7) against New Mexico State University (3-2, 0-0 WAC). Kickoff for the game which is being broadcast nationally on ESPN is 6:05 p.m. (MT).
Boise State has an all-time record of 7-0 against the Aggies, and handed New Mexico State a 40-28 defeat last year in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
In its six season in the WAC, Boise State has seen unparralleled success winning five straight championships and placing second once. The Broncos are an impressive 45-3 in WAC games during that time, with undefeated seasons in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. Boise State's three losses came at Rice and Louisiana Tech in 2001, and at Fresno State in 2005. Boise State has never lost a WAC home game at Bronco Stadium winning 24 straight games.
