Broncos In The NFL: Week 3

BOISE, Idaho - Week 3 has come and gone in the NFL, and it featured three teams featuring Bronco alumni improving to 3-0.

Richie Brockel made his return from a shoulder injury and was active for the first time this season for Carolina, as the Panthers moved to 3-0 with a 27-22 win over New Orleans. George Iloka and the Cincinnati Bengals outlasted Baltimore, 28-24, in a thrilling finish, while Matt Paradis and the Denver Broncos kept rolling along, defeating Detroi, 24-12 to remain unbeaten.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Bronco alumni fared in Week 3:

RB Jay Ajayi – Miami Dolphins
Ajayi was put on the IR-designated to return list after suffering a rib injury in Miami’s final preseason game. He will be eligible to return after Week 6.

TE/FB Richie Brockel – Carolina Panthers
Brockel was active for Sunday’s game against New Orleans and saw his first game action as the Panthers defeated the Saints, 27-22.

OT Ryan Clady – Denver Broncos
Clady is out for the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during OTAs in May.

DT Tyrone Crawford – Dallas Cowboys
Crawford started on the Cowboys defensive line against Atlanta as the Cowboys suffered their first loss of the season, 39-28.

S George Iloka – Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka started Sunday’s 28-24 win over Baltimore as the Bengals improved to 3-0. He made a pair of tackles (one solo) in the contest.

S Jeron Johnson - Washington
Johnson made a solo tackle in Washington’s 32-21 loss to the New York Giants Thursday.

DE DeMarcus Lawrence – Dallas Cowboys
Lawrence started and made two tackles (one solo) in Dallas’ 39-28 loss to Atlanta Sunday.

OT Charles Leno – Chicago Bears
Leno saw action in Chicago’s 26-0 loss to Seattle Sunday.

RB Doug Martin – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Martin started for Tampa Bay Sunday against Houston, rushing for 46 yards on 14 carries as the Buccaneers lost 19-9 to the Texans.

LB Shea McClellin – Chicago Bears
McClellin started at linebacker for the Bears Sunday at Seattle, recording six tackles (three solo) in the 26-0 loss to the Seahawks.

QB Kellen Moore – Dallas Cowboys
Moore was activated and served as Dallas’ backup quarterback Sunday, but did not see action in the Cowboys’ 39-28 loss to Atlanta.

C Matt Paradis – Denver Broncos
Paradis started at center for the Broncos in their 24-12 Sunday-night win over Detroit.

FB Blake Renaud – Minnesota Vikings
Renaud was inactive (practice squad) for Sunday’s 31-14 win over San Diego, and on Wednesday (Sept. 30) was released by the Vikings.

CB Orlando Scandrick – Dallas Cowboys
Scandrick was placed on injured reserve last month and will miss the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during a preseason practice.

S Jamar Taylor – Miami Dolphins
Taylor saw action in Miami’s 41-14 loss to Buffalo Sunday, making a solo tackle.

CB Kyle Wilson – New Orleans Saints
Wilson saw action in New Orleans’ 27-22 loss to Carolina but did not record a stat.

DT Billy Winn – Indianapolis Colts
Winn saw action for the Colts in Sunday’s 35-33 win over Tennessee, making a tackle-for-loss.
