Boise State In The NFL: Week 3

BOISE, Idaho - The third week of the NFL season featured the return to action for one Bronco alum while Austin Pettis scored the first touchdown of the year by a former Boise State player.

Pettis caught his first touchdown of the season with 2:36 remaining in St. Louis' 34-31 loss to Dallas. In that same game, cornerback Orlando Scandrick made the start for the Cowboys in his return from a suspension that was reduced from four games to two with the approval of the NFL's new drug policy.

Richie Brockel (2006-09) - TE/FB - Carolina Panthers
Brockel saw action in Carolina's 37-19 loss to Pittsburgh Sunday night, making a tackle on special teams.

Ryan Clady (2005-07) - LT - Denver Broncos
Clady started at left tackle in Denver's 26-20 overtime loss to Seattle. The line allowed just one sack of quarterback Peyton Manning.

Daryn Colledge (2002-05) - LG - Miami Dolphins
Started at left guard in Sunday's 34-15 loss to Kansas City. Helped open holes for 141 rushing yards, 108 of those coming from Lamar Miller.

Tyrone Crawford (2010-11) - DE - Dallas Cowboys
Crawford started at left defensive end for the Cowboys in Sunday's 34-31 comeback win at St. Louis. Made a solo tackle and was credited with a quarterback hit in the contest.

George Iloka (2008-11) - S - Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka started at safety for the Bengals and led the team with eight tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 33-7 demolition of Tennessee. He was also credited with a pass defensed.

Jeron Johnson (2007-09) - SS - Seattle Seahawks
Johnson saw action in the defensive backfield in Seattle's 26-20 overtime win against Denver in a rematch of last season's Super Bowl.

Demarcus Lawrence (2012-13) - DE - Dallas Cowboys
Lawrence was placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list by Dallas on Sept. 2. This means that Lawrence, who suffered a broken right foot during camp in late July, cannot practice with the Cowboys until after the team's sixth game and cannot play until the team's ninth contest, at the earliest.

Charles Leno, Jr. (2010-13) - DE - Chicago Bears
Leno, Jr. was one of seven Bears made inactive prior to Monday night's game at the New York Jets.

Doug Martin (2008-11) - RB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Martin was inactive for the second straight week, missing Thursday's 56-14 loss to Atlanta due to a leg injury suffered in Week 1.

Shea McClellin (2008-11) - LB - Chicago Bears
McClellin was inactive for Monday night's 27-19 win over the Jets due to a broken hand suffered during the week of practice.

Kellen Moore (2008-11) - QB - Detroit Lions
Moore, Detroit's third-string quarterback, was inactive for Sunday's 24-7 loss at Carolina.

Austin Pettis (2007-10) - WR - St. Louis Rams
Caught three passes for 28 yards, capped by a four-yard touchdown catch with 2:36 remaining which brought the Rams to within three of Dallas. The Rams, however, would not be able to complete the comeback and fell 34-31 to the Cowboys.

Orlando Scandrick (2005-07) - CB - Dallas Cowboys
Scandrick, who had his initial four-game suspension ended after two games due to the passing of the NFL's new drug policy, was activated and started at cornerback for the Cowboys Sunday in St. Louis. He would record five tackles (four solo) and a quarterback hit in Dallas' 34-31 victory.

Jamar Taylor (2006-09) - CB - Miami Dolphins
Came on as a reserve in Sunday's 34-15 loss to Kansas City.

Kyle Wilson (2006-09) - CB - New York Jets
Made two tackles, including one on special teams, in the Jets' 27-19 loss to Chicago Monday night.

Billy Winn (2008-11) - DE - Cleveland Browns
Winn saw action on Cleveland's defensive line Sunday, making four tackles (one solo) in the Browns' 23-21 loss to Baltimore.
