Broncos In the NFL: Week 2

BOISE, Idaho - The second week of the 2015 NFL season has passed, and the Bronco alumni in the league got wins and potentially some new roles from the action.

Four teams featuring former Broncos improved to 2-0, as George Iloka and the Cincinnati Bengals outlasted San Diego, Tyrone Crawford and DeMarcus Lawrence started side-by-side in Dallas’ 20-10 win over Philadelphia, Richie Brockel and the Carolina Panthers beat Houston, 24-17, and center Matt Paradis started once again in Denver’s 31-24 victory over Kansas City.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Bronco alumni fared in Week 2:

RB Jay Ajayi – Miami Dolphins
Ajayi was put on the IR-designated to return list after suffering a rib injury in Miami’s final preseason game. He will be eligible to return after Week 6.

TE/FB Richie Brockel – Carolina Panthers
Brockel was inactive for the second week in a row, as the Panthers defeated the Houston Texans, 24-17.

OT Ryan Clady – Denver Broncos
Clady is out for the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during OTAs in May.

DT Tyrone Crawford – Dallas Cowboys
Crawford started on the Cowboys defensive line at Philadelphia but did not register a tackle in the 20-10 win.

S George Iloka – Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka started Sunday’s 24-19 victory over San Diego, making five tackles.

S Jeron Johnson - Washington
Johnson did not register a stat in Washington’s 24-10 win over St. Louis Sunday.

DE DeMarcus Lawrence – Dallas Cowboys
Lawrence started and made three tackles, including one for loss, in Dallas’ 20-10 win at Philadelphia Sunday.

OT Charles Leno – Chicago Bears
Leno saw action as a reserve lineman in Chicago’s 48-23 loss to Arizona Sunday.

RB Doug Martin – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Martin started for Tampa Bay Sunday at New Orleans, rushing 21 times for 78 yards and catching two passes for 20 yards in the 26-19 win over the Saints.

LB Shea McClellin – Chicago Bears
McClellin started at linebacker for the Bears Sunday at Arizona, leading them in tackles with nine (four solo) in the 48-23 loss.

QB Kellen Moore – Dallas Cowboys
Moore, a member of the Cowboys practice squad, was inactive for Sunday’s 20-10 win at Philadelphia. However, starting quarterback Tony Romo suffered an injury that will keep him out of action for a length of time, prompting the Cowboys to promote Moore to the active roster on Wednesday.

C Matt Paradis – Denver Broncos
Paradis started at center for the Broncos Thursday night, as Denver came back for a 31-24 win over Kansas City.

FB Blake Renaud – Minnesota Vikings
Renaud is on the Vikings’ practice squad and was inactive for Sunday’s 26-16 win over Detroit.

CB Orlando Scandrick – Dallas Cowboys
Scandrick was placed on injured reserve last month and will miss the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL during a preseason practice.

S Jamar Taylor – Miami Dolphins
Taylor saw action in Miami’s 23-20 loss to Jacksonville Sunday, two tackles (one solo).

CB Kyle Wilson – New Orleans Saints
Wilson made a solo tackles in New Orleans’ 26-19 loss to Tampa Bay.

DT Billy Winn – Indianapolis Colts
Winn made his Colts debut in Monday night’s 20-7 loss to the New York Jets, assisting on two tackles. He was traded from Cleveland to Indianapolis Sept. 11 for a conditional draft pick in 2017.
