BOISE, Idaho The honors keep coming following Boise State’s 37-32 win over No. 12 Oregon in Eugene on Saturday. Thanks to the win, the Broncos have been named the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl National Team of the Week for games of the weekend of Sept. 20. The honor follows Kellen Moore being named the Walter Camp Football Foundation Bowl Subdivision National Offensive Player of the Week and WAC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Broncos to the win. Moore threw for 386 yards and three touchdowns as the Broncos used a 24-point second quarter to build a 37-13 lead. Boise State ended Oregon’s 18-game winning streak vs. teams from the WAC, while also winning its first game on the road against a BCS team. The Broncos moved into the top 25 in both major polls following the win and are ranked No. 19 in the AP Poll and No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. |
