Broncos In The NFL: Week 1

BOISE, Idaho - The 2016 NFL season got underway last weekend, with 14 former Broncos on 53-man rosters and 18 total under contract.

Sunday's Dallas-New York Giants contest also featured three Broncos on the field and two more in an inactive role, as Cowboys Tyrone Crawford and Orlando Scandrick started, and Giants rookie safety Darian Thompson made his NFL debut. Demarcus Lawrence (suspension) and Kellen Moore (injured reserve) are also under contract with the Cowboys.

Here's a rundown on how the Broncos performed in Week 1:

RB Jay Ajayi - Miami Dolphins
Ajayi was inactive for Miami's opener at Seattle, which the Dolphins dropped, 12-10.

T Ryan Clady - New York Jets
Clady made his return to action Sunday after missing the entire 2015 season due to a knee injury. Clady made his Jets debut, starting at left tackle in the 23-22 loss to Cincinnati.

LB Kamalei Correa - Baltimore Ravens
Correa made his NFL debut, seeing action on special teams in Baltimore's 13-7 win over Buffalo.

DT Tyrone Crawford - Dallas Cowboys
Crawford started at defensive tackle and made two solo tackles in Dallas' 20-19 loss to the New York Giants.

CB Donte Deayon - New York Giants
Deayon was signed to the Giants' practice squad after being one of the team's final cuts at the end of preseason.

S George Iloka - Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka started at free safety in Sunday's 23-22 win at the New York Jets, making four tackles (two solo).

DE Demarcus Lawrence - Dallas Cowboys
Lawrence is serving a four-game suspension to open the 2016 season. He will be eligible to return in Week 5.

T Charles Leno - Chicago Bears
Leno started at left tackle in Chicago's 23-14 loss to Houston Sunday.

RB Doug Martin - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Martin started for Tampa Bay Sunday, carrying 18 times for 62 yards and catching five passes for 34 yards in the Bucs' 31-24 win over Atlanta.

Shea McClellin - New England Patriots
McClellin made his Patriots debut in Sunday night's 23-21 win over Arizona, registering a pair of solo tackles.

QB Kellen Moore - Dallas Cowboys
Moore was placed on season-ending injured reserve in August after suffering a broken ankle in training camp.

G Rees Odhiambo - Seattle Seahawks
Odhiambo, a third-round pick of the Seahawks in this year's draft, was inactive for Sunday's opener against Miami.

C Matt Paradis - Denver Broncos
Paradis started at center for the defending Super Bowl champions in Thursday night's opener, which the Broncos won, 21-20, over Carolina in a Super Bowl 50 rematch.

CB Orlando Scandrick - Dallas Cowboys
Scandrick made his return to the field after missing all of 2015 due to injury. He started at cornerback Sunday, making three solo tackles with a sack and a forced fumble in Dallas' 20-19 loss to the New York Giants.

CB Jamar Taylor - Cleveland Browns
Taylor started at cornerback for Cleveland and made five solo tackles in Sunday's 29-10 loss to Philadelphia.

S Darian Thompson - New York Giants
Thompson, a third-round pick in the 2016 draft, made his NFL debut for the Giants Sunday, making three tackles (two solo) in the 20-19 win over the Cowboys.

CB Kyle Wilson - New Orleans Saints
Wilson will miss the 2016 season after being placed on injured reserve with a torn labrum.

The Saints fell Sunday to the Oakland Raiders, who began their march to the Super Bowl LI title with a 35-34 comeback win.

DL Billy Winn - Denver Broncos
Winn made his Broncos debut Thursday night but did not register a tackle in Denver's 21-20 win over Carolina.
