BOISE, Idaho - Both major college football rankings are out for this week and Boise State University is No. 10 in the USA Today Coaches' and Associated Press media polls. This is the first time this season the Broncos are ranked in the top 10, and the first time Boise State has been back in the top 10 since it was ranked ninth by both polls prior to last year's San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl game against TCU. Boise State moved up two spots in the AP poll, and one in the coaches' poll following its 48-0 victory over Miami (Ohio) this past Saturday (Sept. 12). The Broncos received 945 points in the media poll and 913 in the coaches' poll. Florida continues to be the No. 1 ranked team in the country in both polls followed by Texas, USC, Alabama and Penn State. The Broncos make their first road trip of the 2009 season, and play their first Western Athletic Conference game this Friday (Sept. 18) at Fresno State. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:06 p.m. (PT) and will be televised by ESPN. |
