Of the 14 National Football League games over the weekend, 10 featured at least one former member of the Boise State football team.
George Iloka and the Cincinnati Bengals will play on Monday Night Football at 5 p.m. (MT). Iloka is listed as the back-up free safety on the Bengals’ official website. Tyrone Crawford, Doug Martin, Shea McClellin and Billy Winn each saw the first regular-season action of their professional careers. Martin started at running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and nearly rushed for 100 yards his first time out. The former Bronco picked up 95 yards on 24 carries, and also caught four passes for 23 yards. Winn started at defensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns, recording two tackles – including one for-loss. Martin and Winn were two of eight former Broncos that started for their respective professional squads: Ryan Clady started at left tackle for the Denver Broncos, Daryn Colledge started at left guard for the Arizona Cardinals, Quintin Mikell started at safety for the St. Louis Rams, Legedu Naanee started at wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins and Kyle Wilson started at cornerback for the New York Jets. Mikell picked up eight tackles for the Rams, and Wilson intercepted his first pass of the season for the Jets. --broncosports.com-- |
