BOISE, Idaho - Bronco running back Jay Ajayi and quarterback Grant Hedrick have earned a handful of national honors following their performances in Saturday night's 37-24 win over Colorado State.

Ajayi accounted for 280 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns Saturday. His 219 yards rushing were just three shy of his career high and came on a career-high 33 carries. The Plano, Texas native ran for two scores while catching four passes for 61 yards and a third touchdown.

Ajayi was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week Monday morning,becoming Boise State's first recipient of the conference's offensive honor since D.J. Harper on Dec. 3, 2012. Later Monday Ajayi collected Athlon Sports' player of the week honor in the Mountain West.

Additionally, Ajayi one of four nominees for the SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Mountain West Player of the Week honor. Fans can vote for Ajayi on the bowl's Facebook page.

Hedrick, meanwhile, completed 22-of-33 passes for 352 yards and a pair of touchdowns while rushing 16 times for 80 yards and another score.

Hedrick was one of eight quarterbacks around the nation named a "Star of the Week" by The Manning Award. Fans can vote for Hedrick for the star who had the best performance in Week 2 at The Manning Award's Facebook page. Voting ends Thursday at 10 a.m. MT.
