BOISE, Idaho - The 2017 NFL campaign gets underway Thursday night, and once again Boise State will be well-represented on fall weekends.

Entering Week 1 there will be 22 former Broncos under contract with NFL clubs, with 13 on active 53-man rosters. Running back Doug Martin (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) was placed on Tampa Bay's reserve/suspended list and will miss the first three games of this season as he serves the remainder of his four-game suspension from the league. Linebacker Shea McClellin (New England Patriots), safeties Chanceller James (San Francisco 49ers) and Jeron Johnson (Jacksonville Jaguars), and defensive tackle Billy Winn (Denver Broncos) will spend the season on injured reserve after suffering season-ending injuries during the preseason, while four more Broncos, offensive lineman Travis Averill (Cleveland Browns), cornerback Donte Deayon (New York Giants), running back Jeremy McNichols (San Francisco 49ers), and cornerback Jonathan Moxey (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), will open the year on the practice squads of their respective teams.

Below is a list of the 13 Broncos that are on active, 53-man rosters as Week 1 gets underway:

Jay Ajayi, RB (Miami Dolphins)
Ajayi, a 2016 Pro Bowler, will begin his third season in the league during Week 2, as this Sunday's scheduled game between the Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been postponed to Week 11 due to Hurricane Irma.

Kamalei Correa, OLB (Baltimore Ravens)
Correa, Baltimore's second-round draft pick in the 2016 draft, begins his second season in the league as the Ravens visit Cincinnati Sunday at 11 a.m. MT.

Tyrone Crawford, DE (Dallas Cowboys)
Crawford, named one of the Cowboys' six team captains, begins his sixth NFL season as one of four Bronco alumni under contract with the Cowboys, along with Orlando Scandrick, DeMarcus Lawrence and Kellen Moore. Despite suffering an ankle injury early in camp which kept him out of all preseason games, Crawford is expected to practice this week ahead of the Cowboys' Sunday night opener against the New York Giants at 6:30 p.m. MT.

George Iloka, S (Cincinnati Bengals)
Safety George Iloka begins his sixth season in the NFL and with the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday at 11 a.m. MT against the Baltimore Ravens.

DeMarcus Lawrence, DE (Dallas Cowboys)
DeMarcus Lawrence begins his fourth season in the league in 2017 as the Cowboys host the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football at 6:30 p.m. MT.

Charles Leno, Jr., OT (Chicago Bears)
Charles Leno signed a four-year, $38 million contract extension with the Bears back on Aug. 24, and will begin his fourth season in the NFL Sunday as Chicago hosts the Atlanta Falcons at 11 a.m. MT.

Kellen Moore, QB (Dallas Cowboys)
Moore begins his sixth year in the NFL this Sunday, serving as Dallas' backup quarterback as the Cowboys host the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

Rees Odhiambo, G (Seattle Seahawks)
Rees Odhiambo, in line to start at left tackle for Seattle, begins his second season Sunday as the Seahawks visit Green Bay at 2:25 p.m. MT.

Matt Paradis, C (Denver Broncos)
Matt Paradis, after missing the first half of training camp recovering from offseason hip surgery, begins his fourth season with Denver, and third as its starting center. Paradis and the Broncos open the season Monday night at home against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Orlando Scandrick, CB (Dallas Cowboys)
Orlando Scandrick begins his 10th year in the league Sunday as the Cowboys host the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. Scandrick was announced this week as one of Dallas' six team captains, along with fellow Broncos Tyrone Crawford.

Jamar Taylor, S (Cleveland Browns)
Jamar Taylor begins his fifth season in the NFL and second with Cleveland this Sunday as the Browns host Pittsburgh at 11 a.m. MT.

Darian Thompson, S (New York Giants)
Thompson, a third-round pick by the Giants in 2016, begins second season Sunday as New York visits the Dallas Cowboys for Sunday Night Football.

Tanner Vallejo, LB (Buffalo Bills)
Tanner Vallejo, a sixth-round draft pick by Buffalo in 2017, made the Bills' 53-man roster out of camp and is in line to make his NFL debut Sunday as the Bills host the Jets at 11 a.m. MT.

Doug Martin, RB (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Doug Martin, entering his sixth campaign in the league, will sit out the first three games of the season for Tampa Bay as he finishes serving his four-game suspension.

Injured Reserve (Season-Ending)
Chanceller James, S (San Francisco 49ers)
Chanceller James, signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in May, was placed on season-ending injured reserve by the 49ers on Aug. 14 after suffering a torn ACL in the team's preseason opener.

Jeron Johnson, S (Jacksonville Jaguars)
Jeron Johnson was in training camp with Jacksonville before suffering a groin injury in the final preseason game. He was placed in season-ending injured reserve by the Jaguars on Sept. 1.

Shea McClellin, LB (New England Patriots)
Shea McClellin, a five-year veteran, was placed on season-ending injured by New England on Sept. 5 after missing most of the preseason with an undisclosed injury.

Billy Winn, NT (Denver Broncos)
Billy Winn was placed on season-ending injured reserve by the Broncos on Aug. 12 after suffering a torn ACL in the team's preseason opener.

Practice Squad
Travis Averill, OL (Cleveland Browns)
Travis Averill spent training camp with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent. After being cut at the end of the preseason, he was signed by Cleveland to its practice squad on Sept. 4.

Donte Deayon, CB (New York Giants)
Donte Deayon spent his second-straight summer in camp with the New York Giants, and was signed to the team's practice squad, for the second-straight year, on Sept. 3.

Jeremy McNichols, RB (San Francisco 49ers)
Jeremy McNichols, a fifth-round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2017, spent camp with the Buccaneers. After being cut at the end of preseason, McNichols was signed by the San Francisco 49ers to its practice squad on Sept. 4.

Jonathan Moxey, CB (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Jonathan Moxey signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent in April and spent the 2017 preseason with the club. After the Sept. 1 cut-down deadline, Tampa Bay signed Moxey to its practice squad.
