COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State redshirt senior quarterback Kellen Moore was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week Monday, following the Broncos’ debut victory as a member of the league.

It is the second-straight season-opening player of the week award for Moore, who also earned the Western Athletic Conference honor after last season’s opening win over No. 10 Virginia Tech. Moore now has six player of the week honors during his career.

Moore completed 28-of-34 passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns, helping to lead the No. 5 Broncos to a 35-21 victory over No. 19 Georgia at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.

The Prosser, Wash., native threw a pair of touchdown passes in the first half, connecting with wide receiver Matt Miller on a 17-yard score late in the first quarter before throwing a 12-yard touchdown pass to tight end Kyle Efaw in the final minute of the first half. Moore added another strike in the third quarter, finding wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker at the 3:10 mark to put the Broncos ahead, 28-7.

Moore, who was not sacked in the game, finished the night with an efficiency rating of 170.07.
