Titus Young and Austin Pettis, will be Leading the receiving core for the Broncos coming into the Oregon Game. Titus’s big play capability will help stretch the Duck defense out, and Austin’s 6’3 frame will help the QB get comfortable moving the ball down the field. The Broncos will also need receiver Tyler Shoemaker to step into big role and proving another big option for Kellen Moore. Not as much depth at the receiver spot but I did see wide out Chris Potter do some good things in the scrimmage last week, and he could be another young threat to back up the three starters.
The Defensive backs have a little more depth, starting with Kyle Wilson, Jeron (Showoff) Johnson, George Iloka, and Brandyn Thompson all have experience playing in games. Backing them up is Winston Venable, Jamar Taylor and Cedric Febis. The Defensive Back position is highly talented and will have to prove their skill and preparation come September 3rd.
WR / DB Keys to Victory
1. DB’s must be aggressive and consistent, and force turnovers
2. WR’s must be ready to make big plays and come down with the crucial catch
3. Broncos need to win on Special Teams
